Timbukdo is a result of a panicked phone call that one of the founders received from a friend who was looking for a constructive way to engage her teenage son and help him monetise his time. This made the founders realize the potential the problem had.
Gen Z are digital native and are reward driven. That made us realize that any engagement we offer to the students today should be rewarding and thus the concept of a part time job portal for students was born.
Tim – Buk – Do, Tim denotes students, Buk resonates with money as Bucks and Do is an action word that symbolizes work, isn’t that a good narrative to remember us.

Mythri is a serial entrepreneur and is currently heading Timbukdo Technologies Pvt. Ltd. as a Founder and CEO. She graduated from Mount Carmel College and holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism. In her previous endeavors, she worked intensely in the green energy and sustainability sectors. She is a marketer at heart and has been a strategic consultant for known real estate brands and start-ups in the city.
She is deemed fit to lead the business as she has been in demand and supplies herself. She took odd jobs as a student who was a newcomer to the city of Bengaluru to meet her ends and thus understood the need for a platform like TimBukDo. She also worked with students in her previous start-ups to keep operation costs low and meet need-based staff requirements.
